Melanie Engel founded Flamingo Beach Realty in 2016 and is Guanacaste’s top-producing luxury real estate broker. Since moving from Canada to Playa Flamingo with her family in 2014, she has built a reputation for exceptional market knowledge, strategic guidance, honest communication, and results. Under her leadership, Flamingo Beach Realty has facilitated more than $900 million in closed real estate sales and helped over 1,000 families buy, sell, and invest in Costa Rica.
With an MBA and more than 30 years of business experience, Melanie brings strong financial judgment, disciplined negotiation, and a data-driven approach to every transaction. Dr. Michael Engel – Co-Owner
Dr. Michael Engel is a retired chiropractor. He and his wife, Melanie, first came to Costa Rica on a family mission trip in 2014 and decided to make it home. He spent his career looking after people, and he brings the same approach to real estate.
Michael enjoys helping clients find the right place, whether that is a vacation home, a rental property, an investment, or somewhere to live full time. He has traveled widely across the area and has visited many of the properties for sale, so he knows this market from the ground up. Away from work, Michael loves fishing and cooking, and he spends as much time as he can with his family. In his spare time you will usually find him on the golf course.
